The ratings should be treated as a rough overview, giving a quick , initial indication of the ability of each horse in the race before you commence your own more detailed analysis. Under no circumstances should the ratings be followed blindly.

My own preference is to dutch bet, horses in the top three rated that open in the betting between 4/1 and 8/1.
